Programmers have to consider the coloring ( code) of a Colored Token in their own app to be able to read and for example display them. You cannot be sure if your colored token is original or not. Because of that a security mechanism must take place when it comes to digital items which represents a value in a certain way.
Anyone can produce Colored Tokens. But only the manufacturer knows how to display them. That is why I propose a uniform system that can be used by everyone. This will allow players to own, display and eventually use their items in different platforms.
Game maker Albert has a game where his players can play or buy trading cards to collect them.
However, the most interesting thing for a player would be if the items had a real value and you could SELL them. Which almost no game can do. There are only a few players who can trade among themselves, and if they do, the trade never ends in real currency.
The danger to Albert is simply too high if he buys these items back. You could hack the game and make endless trading cards and sell them to him.
Colored tokens containing Items or data:
Experience point, Rewards like coins, shields, weapons, spells, cards, collecting games, gold, diamonds and all items from games you can think of can be displayed and traded with a Colored Token. Players can buy and sell P2P items and display them in their app of choice. Rewards tokens and experience points to trade: As announced, IOTA+ will color a number of IOTA Tokens for use in the GameHub or partnerships. To give these Colored Tokens a real value in the form of items, data, etc. it is also important that they cannot be copied. The solution for this is in my opinion a Smart Contract, which allows members of the collaboration to add newly painted Colored Tokens to a list with the most important information (name, owner, representation, type, content, description and security). In order to cooperate with other market participants, it would be useful to make a presentation and safety standard as simple as possible.
Albert has figured out what his clientele wants and now wants to allow his players to trade the items and give the trading cards a real value. He thinks on the tangle it will be safe. His goals: He wants to buy back items and even the players should be able to trade items (Colored Coins) with each other. He is running ads or asks for a monthly fee to use the app. He can do the math and knows how many items he can give away per month. So that he does not make a loss.
As soon as someone finds out what the code of the Colored Token looks like, you can simply copy it and color as many as you want. That person would have „hacked“ the game and could produce an infinite number of items and sell them to everyone else.
The collaboration’s Smart Contract registers new items, creates new security tokens and sends them to the original manufacturer. If a player in Albert’s game wants to send his old gold as a Colored Token, then the Colored Token „Identify token“ must be sent to the Smart Contract with the information of the new owner. The Smart Contract write who the new owner is into its list and generates a new Identify Token and sends it onward.
To be sure if an item is original, you need the Identity token (colored IOTA token) as a counterpart.
